There are two main types of balustrade posts, one is stainless 316 marine grade steel and the other is hot dipped galvanised mild steel

At Stile Glass we only use Marine grade stainless steel in all our balustrade posts.

In Coastal areas, which are commonly salty or moist even hot dipped galvanised will have corrosion over time.
